The second of our wines to go into production, Paso-Primero Blanco quickly found an audience for it’s fresh, vibrant style. Every year we create this blend from across our vineyards picking small parcels throughout the harvest to get natural variations in acidity and complexity that allow us to avoid aggressive processing in the winery. This wine is all about the flavour profiles we get from our grapes so we don’t want our winemaking fingerprints all over it.

Current Vintage – 2021.

Grape Blend – Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer.

Style – All about youthful freshness. We get bright, floral aromas from the Gewurztraminer with classic rose petal, lychee and stem ginger and honey and tropical fruit on the palate from the Chardonnay. All this is balanced with a good zip of citrus acidity from some early picks at the start of harvest.
